51 years on Highway 40.
Denning Sheet Metal. A family shop in Columbia Falls. A name the Flathead Valley community grew up with.

Denning Sheet Metal served the Flathead Valley for 51 years. That chapter's complete.
We're Western Sky Heating & Cooling. It's the same shop and the same crew — the trucks already say so, and the sign will soon enough.
What we're building now is a name this valley can count on for the next 50 years. We'd like to earn that from you one job at a time.
If you're headed down 40, stop in and say hello. We'd love to meet you.
In 1975, the Denning family opened a sheet metal shop at 3580 MT Highway 40 West in Columbia Falls. It was a locally owned operation from the start: custom sheet metal fabrication and HVAC service for homes and businesses across the Flathead Valley.
Over 51 years, Denning Sheet Metal became a name the community grew up with. The shop stayed on Highway 40. The work stayed in the valley. The Denning family kept it that way, earning trust one job at a time.
Curtis Denning, son of the founder, carried the business forward. Under his care, Denning Sheet Metal held a BBB A+ rating and the kind of reputation you can only build by showing up, doing honest work, and standing behind it. Locally owned and operated, from the first day to the last.
The shop on Highway 40 was more than a business to Columbia Falls. It was where a generation learned the trade. Sheet metal fabrication, custom ductwork, heating and cooling. The kind of hands-on work that matters when a Flathead Valley winter arrives and your family needs to stay warm.
Five decades of custom sheet metal work meant five decades of Flathead Valley homes heated by ductwork built right down the road. That kind of local investment in a community's comfort is worth remembering.
The Craft
Denning Sheet Metal was a fabrication shop at its core. Custom ductwork designed and built by hand for the homes and businesses of the Flathead Valley. Not ordered from a catalog. Not shipped from somewhere else. Built right here in Columbia Falls, sized and shaped to fit your home.
That kind of in-house fabrication is rare in the HVAC industry. Most companies subcontract their ductwork or install pre-made components. Denning built their own, in their own shop, with their own people. The difference shows up in how a system runs: better fit, better airflow, quieter operation.
That fabrication capability is still here. The same shop, at the same Highway 40 address, still builds custom ductwork for Flathead Valley homes today.
